SCHOLAR ATHLETES! Congratulations to the Fall teams below on being named New York State Scholar Athlete Teams!
Boys Cross Country
To qualify as a “New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar
Athlete Team” the team average must be 90% or higher. It is based on a minimum number of
student-athletes’ grades and varies by sport. Additional students on a team, who also averaged 90% or higher, are
considered scholar-athletes as well, but their scores do not impact the
team average used for team qualification. Only varsity teams can qualify for
the scholar-athlete award program through NYSPHSAA.
