Christian Service and Advocacy - "Faith in Action"
Christian service is paramount to who we are as Catholics. Catholic Social teaching, which incorporates the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy, is reinforced by giving to and working for others in need. Through their high school years at Albertus Magnus, students are encouraged to build the foundation for Christian leadership throughout their formative years. It is hoped that students will become leaders who are responsive to the needs of others and that they will continue to incorporate the teachings of Christ into their lives beyond the high school years through their "Faith in Action."
Students are required to
perform a minimum of twenty hours of community service throughout the
school year. Students must record their service hours and get
approval. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors must submit their
proposals and service logs to their religion teachers. Government
teachers will approve senior projects and service logs.
Check links below for a listing of various opportunities for service.
