Yolanda Edwards-Dandridge has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare arena, leading clinical practices, and marketing strategies, conducting employee workshops and patient education, directing community outreach forums to maximize efficiency and achieve a seamless patient journey. Ms. Edwards-Dandridge is the Director of the Patient Experience for the Montefiore Center for Joint Replacement Surgery and the Department of Orthopedics at Montefiore Medical Center (MMC), an academic center and university hospital nationally recognized for clinical excellence.
However, her most rewarding role is the mother of her two sons Avian ’07 and Arnell ’12. After her sons graduated from Albertus Magnus, Mrs. Dandridge became active in the Albertus Magnus School Board from 2013 – 2020, of which she chaired for many years. From 2013- 2018, Mrs. Dandridge and Mrs. Cait Ruppen co-led the Albertus Magnus Christmas Boutique, a highly successful event that raised funds, promoted Albertus Magnus High School to external communities, and provided an opportunity for student community engagement. Mrs. Dandridge is a member of the Albertus Golf Classic committee for Albertus and has supported the Golf team each year since 2015.
Ms. Edwards-Dandridge began her career at MMC as an employee health service practice and clinic manager. She quickly progressed through a series of fast-track promotions in Patient Relations, Cardiology Faculty Practice & Clinic, Physician Liaison & Community Outreach, Heart Transplant, and Orthopedics. She was honored as an MMC President’s Award Nominee in 2018. Earlier awards include the People-Based Service Award, the Director’s Award, and a Certificate of Recognition for the Summer Mentoring Program.
Ms. Edwards-Dandridge recently served as adjunct professor at the Mandl School: the College of Allied Health teaching Health Care Management and Health Care Finance. Ms. Edwards-Dandridge is also a published author of “Predictor of Turnover Intention of Registered Nurses; Job Satisfaction or Work Engagement?” International Journal of Applied Management and Technology (Yolanda Edwards-Dandridge, Brandon D. Simmons, Douglas G. Campbell, 2020).
Ms. Edwards-Dandridge has a Doctorate of Business Administration in Leadership from Walden University. She has a Master of Business Administration degree, Honors in Marketing from Iona College, a Master of Public Administration degree in Health Services Administration from Long Island University. Additional education includes a Certificate in Leadership and Organizational Development, and a bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration. She is currently honing her talents in driving efficiency by participating in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training. She remains abreast of emerging industry development as an active member of the National Association of Health Service Executives, the American College of Health Executives, Sigma Gamma Rho – Delta Nu Sigma Sorority, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Ms. Edwards- Dandridge resides with her husband in Thiells, NY.
