Regi Invitational

At Historic Van Cortland Park, boys cross country took flight in serveral races at the Regis Invitational. First up was the 1.5 mile course were several of our first time runners Michael O'Prey (13:20), Hunter Irving (15:55), Kyle Fredericks (15:35) and Dante Coscia (15:10) all placed in the top 150 ourt of over 200 runners. Following them the Sophmores of the team raced their first try at the rolling 2.5 mile course. Out of this group, Patrick Tyler (16:26), Russell Wright (16:23), Sebastian Neblung (17:04), Jackson Zhao (18:45), Franz Christerer (20:32), Jack Cahill (20:21) all respectivley placed in the 100 of their race. With Top perfomances by Russell Wright (16:23), Patrick Tyler (16:26) and Sebastian Neblung (17:04), all of which placed in the top 50 and earned a medal from the meet. Afterwards James Polisena (14:48), Shane Negast (15:58) and Matthew Humphrey (16:23) races and earned a top 70 spots in their Junior race. With James (14:48) taking place in the top 10 of the Junior race and Shane (15:58) placing in the top 50 and both respectivly winning a medal for the team. Finally the Seniors Cole Fredericks (15:21):, Matt Fredericks (16:04), and Kerian Keennan (15:32) finished the day all running personal best on the 2.5 mile course. With Cole Fredericks (15:21) earning a top 50 medal in the varsity race. Everyone doing a exceptional job with this only being the first of many invitationals to come in the season. The Boys and Girls will be racing again Tuesday 9/17 at Irvington Hgh School, where they will take on two of the top team in the section class, Dobbs Ferry and Irvington.
