Watch Fires blaze on the Hudson on Memorial Day...
Pictured is Albertus freshman, Anna Donnellan, whose great uncle, alum Jerry Donnellan started the tradition of Watch Fires.  Jerry was a member of the first graduating class of Albertus Magnus and a decorated vet of of Vietnam, earning a Purple Heart.  The Watch Fires were started 32 years ago to remember those that did not come home.  This year's Watch Fires in Rockland were held at Clausland Mountain, Piermont Pier, Gene Levy Park on Route 45 in Pomona, Bowline Park in Haverstraw.  Thirty-two years after they began, they are now held all around the country.
