Social Emotional Learning

Our goal is to instill positive coping skills and ensure students prioritize their own mental well-being as they go out into the world. Students are encouraged to explore within themselves so that they may become respectful, responsible, and resilient members of society. SEL topics such as self-care, mindfulness, and the growth mindset are covered in the guidance classes over the course of the semester to ensure students are taking care of their mental and emotional health during their high school years. Our objective is to help students learn self-awareness and self-management as well as coping strategies to manage their emotions during stressful situations.

Academic Achievement Center

The Academic Achievement Center provides students with focused support that addresses their unique learning styles and enables them to reach their full potential. Working in partnership with classroom teachers and the guidance department, this team approach ensures that students are provided with opportunities for growth and success throughout their high school career.

In today’s environment students are required to navigate through a maze of technological tasks yet many still need help with basic study skills.

Learning to how to organize time, learning how to write effective notes, learning how to prepare for a test, and learning how to communicate with teachers, are all issues that students need help with and yet all of these are essential to academic success. The Academic Achievement Center helps students develop and strengthen these fundamental skills, providing a solid foundation to build upon and paving the way toward a bright future.
