Art Club focuses on a variety of projects/Animation focuses primary on anime and animation. Meets weekly (usually Wednesdays) in the Art Room Never too late to join.
Seeks to increase cultural awareness of students of color and celebrate diversity at our school though our weekly open discussion meetings, cultural trips, guest speakers and unique community service opportunities. This club is open to ALL students. Will meet a few times a month in Room 205.
To build awareness of all the Pro-Life issues as stated by the U.S. bishops and to stand up for life through many activities during the year. We participate in the Rockland Pro-Life Chain, the March for Life in Washington, DC, and the Falcon Life Chain each year as well as learn about and participate in other life issues (trafficking, climate change, etc.) and become agents for change in our society. Members are always needed and welcome.
For those students who enjoy a mathematical challenge! Students are able to demonstrate their problem-solving skills and gain recognition for their mathematical achievements. Open to all students.
Members of the Dominican High School Preaching Team of Albertus Magnus High School serve and promote Dominican Heritage and Identity of the school through a ministry of servant leadership rooted in Gospel values, the four pillars of the Dominican Life and the charism of the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill. Preaching Team members serve the AM faith community through personal witness of the Catholic faith and Christian lifestyle in the areas of liturgical, pastoral, social and spiritual ministry. Members connect with other Dominican High School Preaching Teams by attending regional and national conferences. Interested students may apply through the Campus Ministry Office.
There are four reps for each of the year. Elections are held in September. Involved in all aspects of student life and help run events during the year such as Spirit Week, Homecoming weekend, dances, etc.
Published once yearly. Writers, photographers, editors needed. Students submit work January-February. Layout/editing starts in the spring, distributed in May.
The Yearbook Staff works throughout the year to produce the school yearbook, the Gauntlet, a book filled with memories to last a lifetime. Students are encouraged to participate in this 50+ year tradition and share their creative talents. Activities include photography, designing and editing, conducting surveys and interviewing, coordinating, advertising and running important events, parties and other activities, as well as interacting with local businesses. Students can learn and use computer/technology skills, public speaking skills, project management skills, design and more.
