The 43rd Annual AM Golf Classic is a huge success!

The weather was perfect for the 43rd Golf Classic, held on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Paramount Country Club in New City, New York. As golfers enjoyed the world-famous A. W. Tillinghast designed 18-hole Par 70 championship golf course, current parents, alums and friends of Albertus gathered to support our students.
Congratulations to the 2024 Falcon Cup Recipients:
Mr. Mike Mulderrig has been the Assistant Boys Varsity Basketball Coach for the past 21 years. He is a graduate of St. Margaret of Antioch Grammar School, Pearl River High School, and Marist College. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mike is married to Mary (O’Brien) ‘66 and is the father of Jennifer ‘91 and Brendan ‘95. Mike coached for many years in the PAL and for St. Margaret’s CYO. He is grateful that his son was the beneficiary of three outstanding coaches at Albertus: Tom McNamara, Frank Somoylo, and Joe McGuinness.
Mr. Jimmy Peters '71, has been the Assistant Girls Varsity Soccer Coach for the past 20 years with 4 Final Four appearances and 1 NYS Championship (2022). He told us, "My four years at Albertus are still a large part of my DNA. I met my wife, Donna (71), and we sent our 3 kids to AM; Jimmy (02), Suzie (05), Kevin (07)." Both Jimmy and his wife Donna were inducted into the AM Hall of Fame in 2008. While at AM, Jim played Soccer 4 years, Baseball 3 years and Track 1 year. As a senior, Jimmy was named Captain and MVP of the soccer team, and the recipient of the Robert J Ahrens Award. Jimmy attended Fredonia State University and graduated with Business Major & Minor in Economics. At Fredonia, he played collegiate soccer for 4 years, and his team finished 5th in nation NAIA, in 1972, and he was inducted into the Fredonia Hall of Fame.

In 2002, Mike retired from a 25-year career with the FDNY. The following year Pat McFadden asked if he would consider helping out with the boys’ varsity basketball team. Mike has enjoyed being Coach McFadden’s assistant for the past 21 years.
