Update from Robert Ottaviano '15

In April Robert Ottaviano ‘15 was selected Pitcher of the week twice and in May was named to the State University of New York Athletic Conference All-Conference baseball team. Rob plays baseball for SUNY Oneonta and was recognized for his on-field performance this season. It was noted that Rob was the team's ace this spring putting together a 7-4 season and a team best 2.17 earned run average. He struck out 67 batters in 70.2 innings while holding opponents to a .225 batting average against. In 12 starts, he threw three complete games including an early May game against Cortland in the SUNYAC tournament. Rob went the distance in a 3-2 victory versus the top-seeded rivals from Cortland. In 42 career appearances, he was 9-10 with a 4.24 ERA. He recorded 121 strikeouts in 140 innings and held opponents to a .277 batting average. Rob recently graduated and in addition to being named to the Spring 2019 Dean’s List he was also recognized for his outstanding senior season by being named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-New York Region Team. Ottaviano was selected to the Third Team as a pitcher. The All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year are voted on by members of the ABCA and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.
