Fall Sports Updates - 10/13 (Spectator Policy, ezSCRN)
Dear AM Families,
Below are some updates regarding sports during Fall Season 1. Please read thoroughly and if you have any questions please contact Tim Gavan, Athletic Director, at tgavan@albertusmagnus.net.
SPECTATOR POLICY:
The Executive Committee of Section One accepted and approved to adopt a series of spectator protocols for all member schools in Fall Season 1. Beginning Oct. 12, only home spectators will be permitted to attend interscholastic athletic events in Section One throughout the remainder of the regular season. In accordance with NYSDOH and the NYSPHSAA Return to Interscholastic Athletics document, the Albertus Magnus Athletic Department will implement the following protocols for home events.
- Only two spectator per rostered Albertus Magnus athlete will be permitted to attend home events.
- Albertus Magnus spectators are currently prohibited from attending all away sporting events.
- Spectators for each athlete will pre-register with their coaches the night before the event. Coaches will submit the list to the Athletic Director and spectators will check in at the gate the day of the event.
- Each spectator will be subject to a temperature check and health screen questionnaire prior to entry into the event.
- Spectators must wear face coverings at all times.
- Spectator must maintain six feet of physical distance between individuals and/or family household units and other spectators at all times.
- At the conclusion of the game, spectators are asked to go straight to their cars and not gather waiting for athletes to come off the field.
We appreciate your cooperation on these important protocols as we want to maintain a safe environment for all participants at an athletic event. We are excited to host home athletic events and watch our student athletes compete for their families, friends, and school! #GoFalcons
ezSCRN – Health Screen App
All Albertus Magnus student athletes are required to complete the daily ezSCRN health app prior to their arrival to school for in-person learning and prior to arrival to sports from remote learning at home. This health screen questionnaire app must also be done on the weekends to be cleared to participate in a practice or game. No athlete can take part in any athletic event unless they receive a temperature check (at school or at home) and have completed the health screen app. If you still cannot access ezSCRN please contact support@albertusmagnus.net as soon as possible.
