On Wednesday, May 14, the Class of 2025 traveled to St. Patrick’s Cathedral for the annual Senior Mass. They were joined by fellow seniors who attend various Catholic high schools in the archdiocese. The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Joseph Espaillat who encouraged the students to embrace the joy that is offered to them through the teachings of Jesus. He urged them to share with others what they have learned about Christ from their years of attending a Catholic high school. Bishop Espaillat concluded Mass by having the students repeat the words of a song sung by the Cardinal Spellman High School choir:
Here I am.
Here I stand.
Lord, my life is in your hands.
I give myself away so you can use me.
The bishop reminded the students that God will do great things through them, and he wished them well in their future endeavors. Albertus Magnus High School was represented at the Senior Mass with Kieran Traynor assisting as an altar server and Tara Costello and Mary Kate Metcalf serving as extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist.
