Performing Arts Program
The Performing Arts program at Albertus Magnus High School offers students the opportunity to Lead, Serve and Inspire.  Whether it is on school stage, behind the scenes with stage crew, or volunteering in our communities, our Falcons are ready to shine! Click HERE to follow on Instagram. 

Past Musicals The Addams Family, Mamma Mia, Legally Blonde, Shrek the Musical, Seussical, Little Shop of Horrors, South Pacific, Footloose, Damn Yankees, Beauty & the Beast, The Wiz, Hair just to name a few. 

Veritas Honors Choir By audition only, this talented group of singers perform at Masses, school events, community events and more, including Radio City Music Hall and Yankee Stadium! Click HERE to follow on Instagram.  

Concert Chorus Students in this performance‑based course will focus on preparing a choral repertoire of all styles to be sung at school Masses, concerts, graduation, and other school events.  Students will receive instruction in basic music theory, ear training, sight-singing, and choral harmony. 

Concert Band For students who already know how to play an instrument or want to learn how to play an instrument.  These students focus on learning a selected instrument and basic music theory skills. For Brass, Woodwind, String, Percussion, and Keyboard instrumentalists. 

Clubs and Activities
At Albertus Magnus High School, clubs are student-led to offer opportunities for artistic expression, leadership and creativity. 

Glee Club For performers who are interested in learning techniques on and off stage, including the business side of entertainment.  

Student Theatre Alliance 
This club of actors, writers and stage crew work together for a Fall performance, entirely student-run. 

Colleges
Sandra Orozco '25, received The Metros (Metropolitan High School Theater Awards) Outstanding Dance Performance by a Female-Identifying Performer Award, for her portrayal of Morticia Addams from the 2025 Spring Musical, The Addams Family.  Sandra is also one of the winners of the Tuition Assistant Scholarship from the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation this year.  Sandra is fulfilling her dream of studying Musical Theatre at Pace University. 

Allie Forlini '21, is a creative entrepreneur, music supervisor, and film composer based in New York and Boston. Allie studied songwriting and music business at Berklee College of Music with a plan to pursue a career in music licensing and copyright law.  

Christina Dadamo '19, featured in 201 Bergen Magazine, is the owner of Christina Dadamo Dance Academy in Mahway, New Jersey.  The dance academy offers competition, recreational and technique classes.  

Jamaal Fields-Green '14, is an electrifying talent who has showcased remarkable skills as an actor, singer, director, and writer.  Jamaal's impressive roles include Michael Jackson in "MJ, the Musical" and as John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton in "Hamilton" (Chicago).

  • Learn More About Mr. Orozco

    Mr. Orozco is a Cuban born pianist, violinist, vocalist, composer, arranger, producer, and educator. 
    Mr. Orozco has worked with some of the biggest names in the jazz and Latin music scene such as Paquito D’Rivera, Gary Thomas, Alex Norris, Mike Stern, Troy Roberts, Tony Succar, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Luis Enrique, and Giovanni Hidalgo just to name a few. He has contributed to more than 80 albums including seven of his own. As an arranger and/or composer, Mr. Orozco has been commissioned by The Baltimore School for The Arts, the Chamber String Orchestra at Strathmore in Maryland, The Netherlands Blazers Ensemble (NBE), Raíces Jazz Orchestra from Miami FL, and the Frankfurt Radio Big Band, among others. In addition, he has two Latin Grammy nominations for Best Arrangement and has musically directed and composed the score of two of the most important Venezuelan musicals: America Viva and Orinoco by New Land Theatricals.
    Mr. Orozco had a prolific career in Venezuela. In 2012, he moved to the United States and enrolled with a full tuition Assistantship to The Peabody Institute of John Hopkins University in Baltimore, where he earned a Graduate Performance Diploma (GPD) in Jazz Piano. He also holds a degree in Violin Performance and Ensemble Conducting from the National School of Arts in Havana, Cuba.
