The Spirit Cup
The Spirit Cup celebrates 1 School, 4 Houses, Infinite Spirit!
At Albertus Magnus, we take pride in being more than just a school, we are a fAMily. The AM Spirit Cup is a year-long competition that brings together students across all grade levels through our House System.
Each student has been placed into one of four Houses: Aquinas, Dominic, Lima, and Siena and will remain in that house throughout their time at AMHS. Houses are named in honor of Dominican saints who model faith, service, and excellence (St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Dominic, St Rose of Lima, and St. Catherine of Siena). Within their Houses, students will work as a team to earn points by participating in school-wide events, attending athletic games and performances, engaging in community service, and demonstrating school spirit and pride.

This friendly competition is about much more than winning a trophy. The Spirit Cup encourages students to:

Build Community: Each House includes freshmen through seniors, as well as faculty and staff members giving students opportunities to connect across grade levels and form bonds beyond their immediate circle of friends.

Develop Leadership: House captains will guide their peers, building skills in teamwork, organization, and responsibility.

Celebrate Spirit: From cheering on our teams or attending performances, to volunteering together, the Spirit Cup provides meaningful ways for students to live out what it means to be part of the Falcon fAMily.
At the end of the school year, the House with the most points will be awarded the Spirit Cup and earn recognition as the top House of the year. But more importantly, all of our students will walk away with stronger friendships, school pride, and a deeper sense of belonging.
