Alaina Walker ’09 grew up in Pomona, NY and became one of the most decorated players in Albertus Magnus history after transferring in as a junior. She scored over 1,300 points, becoming the school’s all-time leading scorer at the time, highlighted by a 38-point game vs. Ursuline, a 15-point sectional championship comeback, and a 31-point, 14-rebound performance in the State Final vs. Newark. A multiple-time All-State, All-Section, and MVP honoree, she was also a two-time Journal News Player of the Year.
At St. Bonaventure University, she earned a business administration degree in 2013, helped the Bonnies reach the NCAA Sweet 16, and was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team. Walker went on to play professionally in Portugal and is now entering her second season as Head Coach of Bard College Women’s Basketball.
