"Leading the way, AM continues to distinguish itself through its personalized approach to student learning, an unyielding commitment to our Dominican Catholic values, and a passion for ensuring our students are Known and Valued. As we reflect on another remarkable year, I am filled with profound gratitude for the generosity and unwavering support of our community. This Annual Report is more than a record of philanthropic contributions - it is a testament to the shared belief in our mission and the transformative power of Catholic education."
On Thursday, September 11, the Albertus Magnus High School community gathered for the celebration of the opening school Mass of the Holy Spirit and remembered those lost in 9/11.
On Saturday morning, September 27, 2025, several members of the AM community participated in Cycle for Peace, one of the many events scheduled throughout the year to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill, the founders of Albertus Magnus High School.
At Albertus Magnus, we take pride in being more than just a school, we are a fAMily. The AM Spirit Cup is a year-long competition that brings together students across all grade levels through our House System.
Campus Ministry exists to nurture and support the Albertus Family in their spiritual development, develop student leadership and encourage outreach to the broader community both locally and globally through the four Pillars of Dominican Life, Prayer, Study, Community and Service.
"Albertus Athletics proudly reflects on another AMazing year, one defined not only by league, sectional and state chAMpionships, but by the individual honors earned by so many of our student-athletes. What we value most, however, is how our athletes represent the true spirit of a Dominican education - through Prayer, Study, Community and Service. For 2024-2025, our student-athletes performed nearly 8,000 hours of service to our communities in need, all while maintaining strong academic performance and upholding the high standards of our school. As we look ahead to the coming school year, we remain committed to excellence - in competition, in the classroom and in service to others." Athletic Director Brendan Gorman '92
“Throughout the SOW experience, I felt that I was able to live all four Dominican pillars: Prayer - participating in communal prayer and theological reflection; Study - learning about the challenges faced by homeless and less-fortunate people; Community and Service – directly helping those in need on the streets of Newburgh and Poughkeepsie by giving them food, water, and clothing. It felt rewarding to see how happy and grateful each person was for our help.” Jessica Parra ‘28
