The Senior Retreat for members of the Class of 2026 was held on March 25, 2026 at St. Thomas Aquinas College, an Albertus Magnus College Partnership Program school.
The long-standing Dominican tradition of service at Albertus Magnus is a hallmark of a student’s experience, for it is here that the preaching comes to life. Fr. Erik Lenhart, OFM Cap. led the retreat "Faith for the Future". The retreat began with the celebration of Mass for the Solemnity of the Annunciation. At Mass, Fr. Erik remembered Fr. Fred Nickle, OFM Cap. who passed away earlier in the week. In recent years, Fr. Fred was a member of the Senior Retreat team. He also concelebrated Masses at Albertus with Fr. Erik, heard confessions, and enjoyed visiting students in their Theology classes. Fr. Fred will be missed by the Albertus Magnus High School community.
Fr. Erik spoke to the seniors about the importance of relying on their faith as they begin the next phase of their lives. Tonianne Zottoli ’17 and two other members of the retreat team offered insights about how their faith carried them through college, work experiences, and beyond.
Thank you to Mr. Norman Huling of St. Thomas Aquinas College for offering space in the college for our retreat venue.
