On Wednesday afternoon, January 28, His Eminence, Cardinal Timothy Dolan and his secretary Fr. Ryan Muldoon, visited Albertus Magnus High School.
On Wednesday afternoon, January 28, Cardinal Timothy Dolan and his secretary Fr. Ryan Muldoon visited Albertus Magnus High School. Members of the AM community were happy to greet these special visitors and to show them around our school.  Cardinal Dolan celebrated Mass for the feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas, the great Dominican saint known for his keen intellect. In his homily, Cardinal Dolan mentioned St. Thomas Aquinas’ intellectual and spiritual contributions to the Church and to society. Speaking to the school community, Cardinal Dolan reflected on the important academic work teachers and students do each day at school - imparting and acquiring knowledge. However, receiving wisdom - a gift of the Holy Spirit – will lead us to Truth. After the distribution of communion, Thomas Castelluccio ’26 and Georgy Nikolin ’26 performed a skit about St. Thomas Aquinas and his teacher St. Albert the Great. Before the conclusion of Mass, Student Council president Mary Kate DeBono ’26 presented a gift on behalf of the Albertus community to Cardinal Dolan and Mr. Power, Assistant Head of School, thanked the Cardinal for his pastoral leadership in the Archdiocese of New York and wished him well in his retirement.
